Standings
World Cup 2026 group standings
Track every group with a matchday table layout similar to major live-score products. Real standings will fill in automatically as soon as official results reach the synced feed. Until then, the full 12-group shell stays visible so the page is never an empty placeholder.
How this table works
Columns stay fixed as MP, W, D, L, GF, GA, GD and Pts. Before the tournament starts, the page keeps the full 12-group shell visible instead of collapsing into an empty state.
Standings explainer
World Cup 2026 uses the standard points system: three points for a win, one for a draw, and zero for a loss. Groups are ranked first by points, then by goal difference, then by goals scored, and finally by the head-to-head result between the tied teams. If a tie still exists, fair play and the FIFA drawing of lots decide the order.
The top two teams in each of the 12 groups advance directly to the Round of 32. Eight best third-placed teams also qualify, giving a total of 32 nations in the knockout stage. Tie-breakers for the best-third selection are points, then goal difference, then goals scored, then fair-play points.
